SOC 41 "Track Day" is Maryhill Loops Road!
The "track day" for the Saab Owners Convention in Portland this year is Maryhill Loops Road. The NWSOC is sponsoring this track day, and it will be ran by SCNA volunteers sourced from local club membership. Maryhill Loops Road is also being included as part of a larger guided scenic drive.
1. Scenic Drive from HQ to Maryhill, up Maryhill Loops Road and back to HQ:

Thursday: Depart at 10 AM and 2 PM

Join us for a breathtaking scenic drive from Convention HQ (Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront, 909 N Hayden Island Dr, Portland, OR 97217) to Maryhill Loops Road. We'll travel via Marine Drive and US-30 / Historic Columbia River Highway and I-84, with stops at the stunning Crown Point Vista House, Multnomah Falls (individual timed permits required), the Bonneville Dam, and Cascade Locks with views of the Bridge of the Gods.
Participants will regroup at Bonneville Dam to accommodate varying schedules due to the Multnomah Falls permits. After the scenic drive, we'll return to Convention HQ via Washington State Hwy 14, enjoying scenic view stops along the way.

Registration and Waivers:
Convention registration and waiver signing is required and will be verified on-site.
Verification of personal vehicle insurance and issuance of color-coded armbands at the south point of entry to Maryhill Loops Road (45°42'45.0"N 120°47'41.6"W).
Observing Option:
Park along US-97 to watch the Maryhill portion of the scenic drive without needing a waiver.
2. Maryhill Loops Road Parade Experience -- This is the "track day" (NOT FULL SPEED!)
Dates and Times:
Thursday, July 18th: 10 AM - 4 PM
Friday, July 19th: 8 AM - Noon
Details:
Experience the thrill of hourly runs (i.e., one "heat" per hour) up and down Maryhill Loops Road in a controlled-access convoy. Each convoy will consist of up to 10 participant cars, ensuring a safe and exciting drive. Our dedicated volunteer team will manage speed control using a pace car and a sweep car, both in radio contact, to prevent displays of speed and ensure the safety of all participants.
